Be Mercury Free

Past Thermometer Exchange Events

The Be Mercury Free program has held four thermometer exchange events. These events included "Mercury Free March" 2005 in partnership with Leader Pharmacies, "Mercury Free May" 2004 in partnership with CHW/Mercy Hospitals and two earlier one-day events - one at Anderson Bros. Leader Pharmacy on Fulton Avenue and one at Land Park Leader Pharmacy. In total, these events have resulted in the collection of over 17,000 mercury thermometers.

MARCH 2005:
During Mercury Free March 2005 more than 7,000 mercury thermometers were collected.

NOVEMBER 26, 2003:
A total of 929 mercury-filled thermometers were collected at the November 26, 2003 thermometer exchange event, held at Land Park Leader Pharmacy. OCTOBER 22, 2003:
A total of 675 mercury thermometers were collected at the October 22, 2003 thermometer exchange event.  Here attendees line up at Anderson Bros.
